We are Thomas and Cindy. We are both retired from the Fire Department/Emergency Medical Services. Thomas was a Fire Fighter/EMT and Cindy was a Fire Fighter/Paramedic. Combined, we served for 56-years. Our life mission is to live simply, leave a small footprint, and treat the earth and all of it’s living beings with respect. Our motto is, “Always do the right thing”.
At our modest off-grid home northeast of Seattle, Washington, we enjoy our seven rescue animals including three dogs, two cats and two horses. At this same home, we hand assemble each SteerStopper® and hand sew each (reusable) bag for our customers.
Our business goal is simple: offer a high quality, useful product, provide outstanding customer service, and give back.
Since our first SteerStopper® sale in 2017, we have never used any of the money from sales for our personal gain, and in 2021 we made the decision to donate a majority of all profits to charitable organizations making positive changes in the following categories:
Bicycling Advocacy
Animal Welfare
Climate Protection
Social Justice
Our intent will be to give locally, nationally and internationally. We feel that this is the best way to make certain you have a great product on your bicycle and that you (and we) will be contributing to positive changes for this earth and all life which inhabits it.
